Personal Experience

After the visit of Athirapally waterfall, it was time for yet another waterfall, The Vazhachal waterfall, which is located in the proximity of Athirapally waterfall. At vazhachal, water is not falling vertically but horizontally. Water flows down on steeply inclined rocky terrain, in the footsteps of Sholayar hills.

Vazhachal falls is an awesome place in an area of forests, where greenery and water have become a beauty to behold. Yes, only to behold, and not to step into the water. You are not allowed to step into the water and you should not try that either as the rocks are slippery and water current is enormous.

Police and guards can always be seen here to ensure safety measures are in place for pleasant Kerala waterfall experience. We spent around 1 hour her just relaxing and having our packed food. The experience was awesome. If you are visiting Athirapally, do have some time for Vazhachal.

After capturing the memories of Athirapally and Vazhachal waterfall in heart and camera we headed towards our next destination Munnar as we have to reach there same day after sightseeing on the way.
